PremierPhotonics was formed as an answer to the lack of dependable photonic component suppliers with a business model allowing for creation of a secure supply chain. While operating from our UK premises, our global and reliable supply chain allows for a seamless transition from prototypes to volume production.

The executive team

Dr. Vojtech Olle serves as Chief Technology Officer and Acting Chief Operating Officer at PremierPhotonics, where he drives innovation and oversees operational excellence.

With lifelong experience in photonics, Vojtech specialises in the design and development of high-performance photodetectors and laser diodes spanning UV to NIR wavelengths. He leads the company’s Chip-as-a-Service (CaaS) initiative, enabling flexible custom chip solutions through advanced design, fabrication and qualification.

Dr. Matt Tyrk is the Chief Executive Officer and acting Sales Director of PremierPhotonics, guiding company’s growth and delivery of advanced photonic solutions globally.

His career began in engineering, designing high-performance optoelectronic components, before transitioning to sales and product management roles where he successfully launched detector and laser product lines for global markets.

Matt brings technical expertise combined with strong commercial leadership to drive customer success.
